Chesty!

From the time Eli was just little, I would tell him that without a shirt on, he was chesty. I would ask him, "Do you want your pajamas on or do you want to be chesty?" He would usually reply "Chesty." I didn't think much of it until Riley was born and when we would change her clothes, he would call her "Chesty" as well.
Well, last night at Family Night, we were learning about the creation of Adam and Eve. Eli would point to the pictures (child pictures, nothing inappropriate), and say they were "Chesty." We then replied, yes, Adam and Eve were chesty." Later the next morning, we were reviewing the lesson at breakfast and Eli told us that "God made Adam and a chesty woman."
On a more precious note, at the lesson, we asked Eli "Did God make Eli." He replied "No." We told him that God did make Eli, and the expression on his face was priceless, he opened his mouth wide and his eyes wider.

Fun at Grandma Danna's House

We went to Grandma Danna's house this weekend and Grandpa Don had a tractor. Oh so much for for two little boys. They climbed all over it (as seen below) and pushed just about every button on it. It's a good thing that Mommy took the key away before they started.
While we were there at Grandma Danna's house, the boys spent a lot of time on the trampoline, as seen in the picture below, taken in July 2010. We would keep our eye on them through the window and when we wouldn't see them, we would go out and herd them back to the trampoline. This weekend, we looked out the window and didn't see them, so we went to find them. They were busy stuffing a purple foam water noodle into Grandma Cookies' dryer vent.

Eli at Primary

Eli has been working on potty training for a while now and a few weeks ago, he went to church without a pull-up or diaper! We were so pleased with him and he is so pleased with himself, that he decided to announce that he went potty (inbetween meetings) to the whole primary.
Not too long after that, I was trying to get him to go and I told him that he could have a Disney Cars toy from up in Grandma's closet if he went potty 3 times. He really wanted that toy and he wouldn't stop asking for it. He asked Grandma for it and she asked him "What do we have to do to get that toy?" He the replied, "We need to get a stool."
Eli has been so much fun, despite all the accidents, and Riley has been very precious. They get along so great, she has special smiles just for him and she will laugh for only him so far. Eli loves her very much keeps her in his mind often. About a week ago, I asked Eli if he wanted to go upstairs to visit Grandma (I intended for Riley and Eli) and he told me, "Mom, You forgot the baby. I remembered."

What a Great Big Brother

Eli is starting to take ownership of his things. This is both good and bad, but we'll focus on the good. On Thursday Morning, he was in his bed on and wanted both Riley and me to join him. I got Riley and put her in with him and he was so proud of her. She didn't mind, and they were just so cute cuddling together.
Then, on Saturday Morning he wanted her to join him while he was reading to her from a story book. It was an interesting story, considering that he doesn't read. After that he pulled toys out from his toy box and helped her play with his toys. She had a great time and you can tell why she loves her brother.

Some Things Kids Just Have to Learn

Eli has seen me take so many pictures of how cute Riley is and I think he has been getting jealous and so he has been asking me to take pictures of him a lot. I decided to teach him how to make funny faces. I truly believe that there are some things kids just have to learn.

Back-Blog Round 1

I kind of feel bad that Riley has so many posts of her baby-hood and while raising Eli, I was working and didn't have time or knowledge to post all that I wanted too. Therefore, I am back posting. Below, if you click, you will find all the links that have been added for 2007.

My Children

Eli loves having Riley around and I often hug my children and say things like "I love my children." or "My little one."  Eli will replicate my actions by hugging Riley and saying those same phrases.
