Eli's Sleepover

Eli went to Charles house for his first sleepover.  I admit, I was a little worried and slightly emotional, but I did ok and so did he.  Jason's family took him to dinner and they played the wii and slept through the night.  While he was out at Jason's house, the girls and I decided to have a girl's night.  We went to McDonalds' and then watched a fairy movie.

Picture Day

Today was Picture Day and so I went down to the school and got Riley to get a picture too.  They would not take one of Morgan because she could not stand on her own.  So I took some of her over the weekend in the post: Don't I Have the Cutest Baby?

Enjoying the Fruits of Grandpa's Labor

Unfortunately, Because Grandma and Grandpa are in Virginia, they can't eat all their fruit. Fortunately, the Grandkids are able to enjoy it for them. Maybe they can enjoy the pictures.

Baby Patress

I used to play with this cabbage patch doll when I was little and now that Riley's toys are packed away in the garage, I decided to pull out one of my toys.  It is kind of fun seeing my daughter play with my toys.  I always hoped that I would have a daughter to share things with and now I have two.  She and Morgan loved the doll.  She misunderstood when I told her the doll's name and as a result, named her Baby Patress.

Homework!

I somehow don't remember my homework being this fun.  Honestly, I don't remember having homework at this age.  Eli, however has homework and his assignment was to practice his spelling words in pudding.  Riley wanted to help too of course (and she dressed herself).

Cause She's 3!

She wanted 3 pigtails today because she is 3.  Ok, at least she is not fighting me to do her hair.

Eventful Car Ride

This was one of them most eventful car ride with Eli we have had in a while.  We were going to drop of our kids at our friend Jared's house, but he was a little sick and so he had to come with us and look at houses.  We were on our way to Highland and didn't even make it through Lehi when he threw up.  We cleaned it up and continue on our way.  He was rambunctious, and full of energy.  He pretended to bite me and I put my hand up to protect my face and in the process, knocked a very loose tooth righ out.  It was highly tramatic for him as there was blood and he wasn't expecting it.  I guess you better watch out or Mommy might punch a tooth out.

Thumb Sucker

I don't get it, none of my other kids sucked their thumb.  This one does.  She quit using a plug a few weeks ago and found her thumb.  I don't like it because she is noisy during church, but at least she sleeps through the night and through just about anything else. :)
P.S. These last two pictures were taken in El Paso on May 6th.

A Budding Artist

Riley loves to draw.  She is getting better and better at drawing and now her art reflects actual things.  As seen in the picture, it is woody.  She is drawing a picture of Woody and his hat.

Mystery Reader

Every Friday Eli's class has a mystery reader.  Each kid gets to gets a chance to let someone come in and read a story during the last few hours of school.  The kids don't know who it will be and they are suprised when they show up.  It makes it fun and the teacher makes a big deal of this.  She has the participant give some clues about who the mystery reader could be.  Grandma got to be the first one.  Her clues were: she used to work at Monte Vista and She is visiting from out of state.  Eli was suprised and loved it.

Daddy's Home

We are getting used to Daddy's new schedule, which is usually seven days of work and then seven days off.  Around the middle of the seven days of work, Morgan hadn't seen Daddy for a while and she missed him.  She just sat in his arms and stared at him.  It was so precious.

Gotta Start em Young!

As part of my mother's business, she tried to convince women not to be afraid to try and quilt.  She would convince them that if a 3-year old can do it, then they could do it.  Eli was three when she got the machine and now he is almost 7.  Riley is 3 now and is starting to learn to use the quilting machine.  The picture here is the finished quilt.  I guess she wants to start them young.

Splash Pad

South Jordan has a new splash pad.  Oly and I decided to go and check it out.  It was small, but fun.  Kid love water and had a great time.
