Dress Up

One Day, I decided to through the usual routine and allow the children to have some fun with dress ups. I dressed Riley up and started having a tea party with nuts and pink lemonade. Eli saw and wanted to join. At first he was in regular clothes, but then decided he wanted to dress in his knight costume. While in his costume, his imagination was unleashed and he only lasted in the tea party until he ran outside in order to defeat a dinosaur in the back yard. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Standing for the Right

After we went swimming, Eli was cold from the water and he stood in the middle of the yard and felt a warm breeze.  He was so excited that he proudly exclaimed "I am warm because I am standing for the right."  Riley copied his good example and was shouting the same thing standing next to him.

Too Hot for Anything Else

Many people have asked how we are doing with the change.  If anyone would have asked me my first week, I would have said that I would have preferred to live in Antarctica because the heat was so intense and my AC wasn't working.  We have two units and one was blowing cold air in and the other, hot air.  Some days it was better outside than inside.  We were so miserable and so I bought a kiddie pool, big enough for me to sit in, so I could survive the rest of the summer.  Fortunately, we got the AC fixed and now I kind of like being here.
Also: Riley got a new suit and here she is modeling it.  It  has Ariel and so she is way excited.

Preschool Graduation!

Eli has graduated for preschool and now on to kindergarten next.  My has the year gone, just yesterday, I was posting his First Day of School.  The program he graduated from Mini-Miner Preschool.  This program has about 30 students and 15 high-school aged teachers and one teacher over the main program.  Eli's teacher was Miss Gladys.  His best friend in the program was named Aiden.  Aiden was so much like Eli because they both LOVED Starwars and Legos.  We even had Aiden over to play once and it was a blast for the boys.

The Move

Well, now that my husband has graduated from Pharmacy School and there are now two pharmacy  universities in the state getting a job in Utah is difficult and so now we are off to a new adventure in El Paso.  We are excited about being there, just not about getting there (the move and travel.) Fortunately, we have so many wonderful people to help on both sides of our family.  Riley helped by unpacking the toys that I packed for her.  I love that she has no idea that she is in the middle of a truck we are loading and she is just sitting there playing on her own.  Jared's mom came for two days to help pack, my sister-in-law helped pack boxes the week before and my father and brother-in-law will help travel and move when we get there.
