These are my cute kids in their new Easter clothes. I would have loved to get them together, but Riley fell asleep when Eli was ready.
We had a great time dying Easter Eggs. Each family member had an egg with their name on it. Mine cracked.
OK, I was just kidding, Mommy wanted to pull her hair out, but Eli had a great time. I couldn't keep his fingers out of the die water and he tried on more than one occasion to put multiple eggs in the cups. But, hey, only 5 out of a dozen broke and there were no spilling of the cups.

Grandpa's Light Saber
Grandpa got a light saber that lights up and makes sounds for his birthday and I am not sure who was more excited, Eli or Grandpa. Eli has played with all day and later that night, Eli asked if he could take it down to his room and sleep with it. I told him that Grandpa wanted to sleep with it. He seemed to be okay with that. The next day, he asked if he could play with it while Grandpa was at work. I told him that Grandpa wanted to take it to work and show all his friends. He understood without a tantrum, but when Grandpa got home, the first thing out of his mouth was: "Grandpa, can I play with your light saber?
However, a few days later, I told him that he couldn't play with it because Grandpa wasn't home. You can see his reaction.
The light saber made Eli so happy, I think he figured it would make everyone hapy. Riley was fussing yesterday and Eli says to her in a very soothing voice, "It's okay Riley, It's okay. I'll go get the light saber."

Riley Doesn't Like Peaches
This is not her first feeding, although it is her first time eating peaches. They were really flavorful, perhaps too flavorful for a little one with sensitive taste buds.
If she could talk, I think that she would say, "Mom, Do I have to eat this?"

Happy Birthday Everyone!
This week is a major week in birthdays for Eli. It is three of Eli's grandparents, and two of his cousins and one aunt and uncle. So, we thought we would celebrate by singing to them. (Mostly Grandpas, Eli's attention span is only so big.)

Photos of Riley
I took these photos of Riley and she cooperated so nicely. She is alsmost 6 months and she can just about sit up all by herself.
Eli and Riley love each other. Her eyes light up when he enters the room and she has special laughs just for him.

Baby Fashion Show!
You've heard about it and now it's here: the baby fashion show. Okay, so I got so excited the moment I found out I was having a girl and I spent all this money shopping for all the cute little clothes for girls. I spend all this time and energy getting the baby ready for church, only to find out she either spits up all over the dress, or sleeps through the meeting wrapped in a blanket. The best way to fix that is to show off that little cutie and all her outfits with a baby fashion show?
This red dress was given to me by my mother after a shopping trip we spent together. I fell in love with it on the hanger and wore it throughout the Christmas Season and beyond. I even sent Christmas cards out with the Riley dressed in this and Eli in a suit. (One of the pictures seen below.)
I loved the dress so much, I wanted one in a purple and pink color and it looks different enough, that I can justify having both. (She also looks adorable in both.)
This dress and the two below it was given to me by a woman in our ward that was retiring from foster care. She had several boxes and was very generous. The hand-knit sweater and hat was not included, but they were given to me as a gift from another woman in the ward.
This dress and sweater was given to Riley for Christmas this year from her older cousin Sophie, as seen in the blog: Corwin and Sophie.
This dress had four layers of "fru-fru" and I went crazy and had to buy it. It doesn't quite fit yet, but will shortly. I'll probably wear it for Easter.
And last, but totally not least, this dress was made by my mother for me as a baby. I was blessed in this dress at six weeks old and now Riley is in this dress at one week old.
