Hopper Popper

Grandpa is seen here putting a hopper on Eli's head.  It bounces off a little higher from the head, than a hard surface.
One of my favorite pass times of this particular hopper-popper is when John, my brother, put it on Jeron's fore-head and it created a large bruise, perfectly round.  My mother went to the doctor and she asked what it was and my mother had a heck of a time trying to explain what it was.

Happy Valentines' Day

When Eli was about the same age, we did a photo shoot with him using this same pillow. He saw the pillow when my mom took out the Valentines' decorations and he remembered the photos when we showed them to him. He decided he wanted Riley to have the same photos. See the link below for Eli's photos.

Splashing in the Rain

Every time I run errands that involve a car, I usually let the kids run around outside for a few minutes, provided the weather isn't too bad. This time, it was after the errands and it had just rained. They had a great time splashing in the puddles. I let them stay out there until they got too cold. You would think they would thank me for taking them in from the cold, especially since they were wet, but they didn't. They cried.

Back Blog 123...?

During my first year with Eli, I worked full time and didn't get a chance to blog a lot.  Know I have some free time and so I back-blogged a bit today.  See below for some of them.

Lil Lantern 2

Riley wanted a turn with the Green Lantern Mask and since Eli had his fun as seen in the post Lil Lantern.  Alex, his cousin, wanted a turn too.  He also tried on Eli's costume of Superman.  It is too small and I asked Eli what we should do about it.  He said, "I know, we could give it to Alex."  I am so glad Eli came to that decision on his own! Alex was glad too.  He doesn't know who Superman is yet, but I am sure he will have a great time finding out.

What a Little Artist!

This is Riley's first art work.  She was so proud, that we had to hang it on the fridge.  I didn't want to save the paper, because I am sure that it will be first of many, so we took a picture of it with the darling artist instead.

Funny Faces

Jason, my brother was famous for making funny faces and I just felt that Eli needed to learn a few. He did such a good job that he felt Riley needed to learn as well.
