Eli has always wanted to visit the Lego store and since we had to get him a set for reading the Hobbit I decided to take him. He loved it and would have spent all day there if I would have let him. Riley had a great time too. She built towers one after another. Since it was her birthday, we got her a princess set. It was perfect for her age. When we got home, we all sat down and put our Legos together. Eli built his set all by himself and proudly told me so, many times. Riley took a little longer (she's just four) and we both loved the time together.
Morgan, as usual, is just happy to be there.

Gardner Village
What October would be complete without the traditional witch hunt at Gardner Village? We didn't actually do the witch hunt, we just looked around at all the witches. I don't know if we will do it next year, because they have added a lot of things you have to pay for and the tantrums with kids aren't worth it. Or maybe we won't take Daddy. ;)

Happy Birthday Riley!
We celebrated Riley's birthday at the Koyle's house. This week is always a busy one for birthdays in the Koyle family. We celebrated Anna, Alex, Damien, and Riley. Danna made a cake for both Riley and Anna. She always wanted a doll cake and after the fiasco last year for Eli's birthday, I was afraid to try to make another one. Good thing Danna was willing. It turned out great!

Bangs
After getting Eli off to school, I came across this image and stopped dead in my tracks. I hurriedly looked around and saw that Riley had cut a chunk of hair off. She is upset in the picture because she was given a scolding about how we don't cut hair. Her reply was "Mom, I saw the scissors and thought they were for cutting hair. I was forced to fix it and this is the result.

Pluggie... What?
Ok. Morgan started out not wanting a plug. (Eli had one and it was hard to break, Riley never took one and it was hard to not soothe her.) Jared convinced her that she wanted it. Afterword, he told me that he ruined the baby. Ha! Ha! She was not ruined. She fixed herself. She gave up the plug and sucked her thumb, up until she grew teeth. Now she doesn't do anything. Here, she randomly put the plug in her mouth.
