Marshmallow Face

Another little boy in our ward had a birthday party and he had these marshmallow pops of the minions from "Despicable Me." Riley took them and ate them before I could take a picture.  I did however get a picture of her face after she did eat them.

What Color?

In our family, we never know what color our babies eyes will be.  Our family (of our extended family) is the only one in which we don't know.  Jared has blue eyes and I have brown eyes.  Eli has brown eyes and Riley has blue eyes.  Jared is convinced that Morgan will have blue eyes and I think she will have brown.  We will just have to wait and see.

Update September 7: So this past week, we noticed a sploch of brown around her iris.  They will be brown!

Experimental Photography

I have been, experimenting with natural light indoors.  Since El Paso is SO sunny, it makes it difficult to take pictures on the cloudy days and so I have been trying new methods.  I have been opening the windows and using the bright sun to illumnate the pictures.
The things I do to get a great picture. I am glad Eli is so willing to help.

Izzy

To say that Riley is a little obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates is an understatement.  She watches the show just about every day. For Christmas, she got a set of the characters along with a boat. When both grandma's came, it was pretty much the only toy she played with and she made them talk.
For a while, when asked her name, Riley would respond that she was Izzy. Now she says she is Jake's mom. (An improvement from him being her boyfriend).
This character here is Izzy and as you can seen it is loved. She has been glued together at the waste, lost a foot, and her eyebrows (in which Riley made me redraw on with a sharpie), and she apparently has warts on her hand.

Party Time!

One of the things that I love about El Paso is that the party is not just for the little boy. It is for the whole family and they feed the whole family. This party was for a boy named Leo. They had a blow up swimming pool, a bounce house, and a pinata.
