Buffalo Chips!

These are some of the best shots of Buffalo that we took in Yellowstone. My father and brother hate it when people take the whole road just to see a few buffalo, therefore, a lot of the pictures we took were in the car. The ones posted turned out, but most of them didn't.

Also, one funny story. Grandma was explaining to Eli the purpose of buffalo chips. He looked at her and said I want one. He was probably thinking that they were more like potato chips.
Last funny story about buffalo. Oly and I wanted Jeron to take some pictures of the buffalo babies. He also saw some buffaloes pooping and we thought he took more pictures of buffaloes pooping, than the babies.

Yellowstone 1 of ......?

During the week of my birthday, my entire family decided to celebrate me and spend a week in Yellowstone. Therefore, the next few blogs occurred there.
One of my brother Jeron's favorite pastimes of Yellowstone is the sign below. It is meant as a warning to patrons to stay on the path. It strikes him so funny that the girl wouldn't run for help or do something. She just stands there, pointing. Also, the man in the backround is walking away with no emotion, as if to say "That aint my kid."
Jeron and I thought it was so funny, we thought we would make fun of the sign while posing for some land marks.

Lil Lantern

Eli went through our junk mail and found a $5 gift card to Wal-mart, also known as "credit card." He wanted to go to the store so he could spend it. They had all sorts of superhero toys. He was torn between the Captain America helmet and shield, the Thor helmet and hammer and the Green Lantern and Ring. You can see clearly which one he chose. All week long he has played pretend with the ring, using it to turn Grandma and everyone around into strange things like marshmallows and ladies. I love his imagination.

Results from Surgery

This picture shows Riley's belly button that is heniated. It is slightly larger than a normal one.
She went in this week for surgery on it. She had a umbilical hernia which means that the belly button soft tissue protruded further than normal. They went in and made a small incision and stitched up the hard tissue so that the soft tissue wouldn't stick out. It only took 20 minutes for the procedure and about 1-2 hours for the recovery. She was tired for the rest of the day, and then she was herself after that.

Riley's surgery

Riley will go into surgery in about 30 minutes. They are fixing her belly button and the procedure will take about 20 minutes. It is outpatient surgery.

They have these wagons with pillows so they can rest or go on a ride. Since her last feeding was at 2:30 a.m., it helped to have it. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Lil Superman

Eli came to me while wearing his costume and said, "Mom, You need to take pictures of me." Of course, I am not going to say no.
The glory days do end soon and I told Eli that he couldn't wear his costume until he went potty and that he couldn't wear it if he wet his pants. At the end of the day, Eli had only one accident. I told him he had to take his costume off so we could wash it. Here he is, next to the dryer, waiting for his costume to dry.
